Western Balkans Automotive Industry Conference Held in Skopje

The FIRMA Consortium including LINK, PLOD, NERDA, REZ, and the FIRMA metal processing team attended the Western Balkans Automotive Industry Conference held June 16-17, in Skopje.

The aim of the two-day conference was to improve the competitiveness of automotive companies and to identify and promote automotive investment opportunities in the regional countries.

Companies were provided with advice on: how to increase their competitiveness, including introducing quality standards, how to increase innovation in their production, improve design and provide higher quality services, as well as information on how to introduce timely delivery capacities.

The Conference also emphasized to the state authorities the need to establish internationally certified/recognized research laboratories and the need to reach an accepted recognition of work force education and training. The industry representatives also called on government authorities to improve industrial and transport infrastructure, to advance and facilitate customs and administrative procedures, and to support connections to markets.

The Skopje Conference will contribute to stronger mutual collaboration and networking of various elements of the automotive industry of the Western Balkan countries.
