Mostar Blues Festival as a Tourism Product

FIRMA Consortium BiH supported organisation of 8th Mostar Blues Festival , which is taking place at „Music Center Pavarotti“ in Mostar, from July 17 to 19, 2010.

Mostar Blues Festival represents a significant event for tourism industry in the area of Mostar and Herzegovina as a whole. The organizers of the 8th Mostar Blues Festival promoted this event in cities along Croatia coast, aiming to establish partnership with Croatian travel agencies. In the future, travel agencies are expected to include daily and over- night visits to Mostar Blues Festival as a special excursion offer in their regular program.

Long term goal of this effort is to reposition Mostar from one-day touristic destination to destination with its own program and tourism products worthy of longer visist.

During the three days festival visitors will have an opportunity to listen to a number of performers from Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia, Serbia and the USA, such as Zdenka Kovacicek, Partibrejkers, Deborah Colleman, and others.
