Metal Processing Sector

Thanks to Bosnia & Herzegovina’s natural endowment of mineral resources, the light manufacturing / metal processing sector has traditionally been one of the country’s strongest. This sector accounts for almost one-fourth of total BiH exports. Technical capacities exist in drop forging, precision casting, cutting, punching, pressing, forming, machining, and welding – all basic to the manufacture of metal products. The sector has the potential for significantly increased sales, exports, and employment, if it can build on this foundation and address its limitations.
